1. Información básica de la asignatura
El objetivo general de esta asignatura es proporcionar a los estudiantes el conocimiento necesario de las nociones lexicogramaticales esenciales para el estudio en profundidad de la lengua inglesa.
Este objetivo está alineado con los siguientes Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) de la Agenda 2030 de Naciones Unidas (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/ ):
Objetivo 4: Educación de calidad.
Objetivo 5: Igualdad de género.
Objetivo 10: Reducción de las desigualdades.
Objetivo 16: Paz, justicia e instituciones sólidas.
Objetivos 17: Alianzas para lograr los objetivos.
La asignatura se encuentra encuadrada en la materia 05, Gramática de la lengua inglesa, que tiene su continuación en "Gramática Inglesa II", impartida en el 2º curso, y se completa con la asignatura optativa, "Pragmática de la Comunicación".
2. Resultados de aprendizaje
El estudiante, para superar esta asignatura, deberá demostrar los siguientes resultados...
Al nivel que le es propio en primer curso, el estudiante sabe identificar y comprender fenómenos gramaticales de la lengua inglesa
Es capaz de comunicarse en inglés hablado y escrito.
Sabe describir las formas y funciones gramaticales utilizando la terminología correcta (descripción metalingüística).
Es capaz de analizar de forma crítica textos escritos y hablados en lengua inglesa desde un punto de vista léxico, sintáctico y semántico.
Es capaz de redactar trabajos en inglés sobre análisis gramaticales.
Es capaz de exponer un análisis gramatical.
Sabe comparar fenómenos gramaticales de la lengua inglesa con fenómenos gramaticales de otra lengua o lenguas.
3. Programa de la asignatura
[Introduction] What's grammar? National varieties. Standard and non-standard English. Register. Grammars of English.
[1] Grammatical units. Introduction to morphemes, words, phrases, and clauses.
[2] The structure of words. Inflection. Word formation processes.
[3] Introduction to word classes: Lexical words; function words; inserts; special classes of words.
[4] Lexical word classes: nouns; main verbs; adjectives; adverbs.
[5] Function word classes: determiners, pronouns, auxiliary verbs, prepositions, adverbial particles, conjunctions.
[6] Phrases. Types, structure and function.
[7] Clauses. Major clause elements: S, V, O, P, A. Major clause patterns: intransitive, monotransitive, copular, ditransitive, complex transitive. Simple, compound, and complex sentences.
4. Actividades académicas
La asignatura está orientada al aprendizaje de las unidades gramaticales básicas. Las actividades teóricas se basan en las explicaciones de los conceptos gramaticales y su aplicación práctica. Las actividades dirigidas están centradas en el análisis de textos, con la descripción e identificación de las unidades gramaticales. Las tutorías individuales y grupales están concebidas como asesoramiento y solución de problemas. Las actividades autónomas comprenden el estudio y la reflexión individualizada en la aplicación de conceptos y en el análisis lexicogramatical de los textos, como proceso de aprendizaje requerido tanto para la prueba global como para la elaboración del trabajo individual.
5. Sistema de evaluación
PRIMERA CONVOCATORIA
1) Desarrollo de una prueba escrita de carácter teórico-práctico en inglés en la que el estudiante deberá abordar la identificación y el análisis de aspectos lexicogramaticales en una serie de textos.
Esta prueba tendrá una duración no superior a 2 horas y 30 minutos, y se calificará de 0 a 10 puntos. Representará un 80 % de la calificación final del estudiante en esta asignatura.
2) Elaboración de un trabajo individual escrito en lengua inglesa de carácter teórico-práctico. En dicho trabajo el estudiante aplicará los conocimientos derivados del programa de teoría a la resolución de una serie de ejercicios prácticos.
Este trabajo se calificará de 0 a 10 y representará un 20 % de la nota final del estudiante en esta asignatura.
SEGUNDA CONVOCATORIA.
Idéntica a la prueba global [1) prueba escrita, y 2) trabajo individual] de la primera convocatoria.
CRITERIOS DE EVALUACIÓN
Se valorará:
a) La comprensión e identificación de los conceptos gramaticales básicos.
b) El conocimiento de la materia.
c) La utilización correcta de un marco teórico y de una metodología adecuada y bien definida para el análisis gramatical de los textos.
d) La expresión escrita adecuada en lengua inglesa.
